Die Stadt in mir

Hamburg Ballett CLICK In / Tanztriennale 2026

The Production

  • Venue Main Stage
The two-part evening will showcase the short performance by the group who has been working over the past months with Elisabeth Bell on CLICK in: Die Stadt in mir.

The second part of the evening will be curated by the Tanzriennale, which is a new initiative in Hamburg, bringing together dance across genres and dance cultures and celebrating the role dance can play in our daily lives. This evening the focus will be placed on how dance can shape the city we live in with special guests Regina Rossi and Stephanie Thiersch.

Brazilian-Hamburg choreographer Regina Rossi will guide us through an excerpt of her work POLIPOLIS, inviting us to dream of a utopian design of a city and a first step towards change.

Hospitality as an artistic method is central to the work of Cologne based choreographer Stephanie Thiersch. She will share aspects of her work ranging from intimate pieces connecting grief and mourning songs from around the world to massive public events like "City Dance Köln," where 600 participants danced through city streets for 13 hours, showing how dance can spark unexpected connections and unite people across languages and backgrounds.
