Epilogue

For his final creation for the Hamburg Ballet during his 51-year tenure, John Neumeier created an intimate, chamber music-like work with piano and singing on stage. A rather abstract ballet of quiet tones and subtle movements that leaving room for personal associations. The music of Franz Schubert, Richard Strauss and Simon & Garfunkel inspired the choreography that John Neumeier developed with the dancers of his ensemble.
